Hello and welcome to GLOBALly CENTRED. My name is Debra Adams (Deb) and I’m a postgraduate researcher. I’m researching the way news organizations use internet technologies to engage citizens with public affairs. More information about my research can be found at The Dull Fig.
Globally Centred is not directly associated with my research however the things that happen here will certainly be important to the way I think about blogs, the internet and reportage. This is a blog about some of the things that are part of my everyday life (and perhaps yours too). I will, for the most part, present these in the context of local, national and global news and events.
My first post shows an important part of my life—the university that supports the work I do—Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
